Summary 　がん患者に対する鍼灸治療の適応範囲を推測するために，そのエビデンスとエキスパートの意見の両面から調査を行った。 　がん患者に対する鍼灸の臨床適応に関する英文献270件，和文献156件を対象に調査を行った。その結果，嘔気・嘔吐，疲労倦怠感および血管運動障害について鍼治療を推奨するとされたが，これら以外の症状に対するエビデンスは存在しないと結論づけられた。 　また，過去5年間の「腫瘍と鍼灸治療」に関する論文の著者83名にアンケートを郵送により送付し，回答を依頼し，46名（55.4％）から回答が得られた。 　その結果，がん患者に対する鍼灸治療で効果が得がたいもの（複数回答）として，疼痛，嘔気・嘔吐，メンタルケア，浮腫・麻痺や知覚障害，排便などが挙げられていた。また，鍼灸の適応となりうる症状（複数回答）として，疼痛，嘔気・嘔吐，食思不振，浮腫，化学療法副作用（嘔気・嘔吐以外），再発防止，不定愁訴，排尿障害，腹水などが挙げられていた。 The indications of acupuncture and moxibustion for cancer patients were investigated based on both evidence and expert opinions. Two hundred and seventy papers in English and 156 in Japanese on clinical application of acupuncture and moxibustion for cancer patients were reviewed. As a result, it was concluded that there is no evidence for indications of acupuncture other than recommendations for nausea/vomiting, fatigue/malaise, and vasomotor disorder. Questionnaires were sent by mail to 83 authors of papers on “tumors and acupuncture and/or moxibustion therapy” identified by database search using “Ichushi-Web” over the past 5 years, and 46 authors （55.4%） responded. The symptoms of cancer patients they thought unlikely to respond to acupuncture or moxibustion therapy included pain, nausea/vomiting, mental problems, edema/paralysis, paresthesia, and dyschezia （multiple answers allowed）. The indications they thought possible for acupuncture or moxibustion included pain, nausea/vomiting, anorexia,indefinite complaint, appetite impaired, dysuria, and ascites（multiple answers allowed）.
